Science behind Social Sharing & How it helps in your business growth.

Why do you SHARE?

🔴 To gain some social currency

Social currency is our influence on social networks, online and offline communities, and the degree by which our thoughts are shared by others.

🔴 To be accepted in the society

Accepted by the main stream population as normal or considered by most people to be reasonable or to be something that can be allowed socially/politically/morally acceptable.

🔴 To be seen as someone who is intelligent & savvy

Who doesn't want that? Everyone is a guru in his/her own world and they want to establish that. Everyone wants to be asked for his/her opinion.

🔴 To not miss out the Buzz

FOMO - Fear Of Missing Out, SIMPLE. We all like to follow and imitate others. Remember that our ancestors were APES.

🔴 To be the first to share

We want to be the first at everything we do. Why should Sharma Ji ka Beta always come first? This shows our competitiveness.

🔴 To help others & to be impactful

We help others to feel good or because we feel that its our duty but above all we want to make an impact in the society and into the people's mind.

🔴 To make yourself look good to others

We all want to be known for our thoughts and for our good deeds among our peers and society at large. We all want to save the world, as a SUPERMAN or as CAPTAIN MARVEL.

🔴 To let people know what you care about

Sharing is Caring, isn't it?

🔴 To get validated & approved for your thoughts

Social validation helps us gauge where we currently stand and how we could do better. Establishing social validation is the thoughtful effort of shaping perception aimed at producing a ratifying response.

🔴 To prove your Cognitive Bias

We believe that what we know is universal truth. Believe it or not everyone has some kind of bias in them and it comes out as several places.

🔵 So, what's the use of it in my business?

People like to share stories:

  1. Sell your brand stories;

  2. Focus on cause marketing;

  3. Tell what they already know but differently, Appreciate your customer's intelligence;

  4. Give them a chance to earn social currency;

  5. Associate themselves to do something impactful.

  6. And then make your Strategic Marketing Plan.

Cheers.
